Is that you in your avatar, Hustledouble? I see that you love hiking. A very refreshing view.Because it can become an addiction, dog. Healthy boundaries, eat right and exercise, have a good social support structure, stick ur wiener in things to relieve the anxiety. If that don't work, drugs, death or rehab. Idk man. Climbing mountains and hoops a couple times a week works for me
Yep that's me. Photo a bit older now. My first summit above 8,000 feet. Wife got me into hiking years back and it's done wonders for my mental health and self-control. Everybody has something that works. Just keep at it IMO !Is that you in your avatar, Hustledouble? I see that you love hiking. A very refreshing view.
What a great experience. You can still do hiking but just try not to take the risk of 8k feet anymore.Yep that's me. Photo a bit older now. My first summit above 8,000 feet. the thing with gambling just make sure you balance it out with normal thing with family and friends, just like any job you need a couple of days off to charge back up, the main thing i see too many people drink too much and chase losses
Great post KVB.I'm not going to say I can't relate because I understand the struggle and how all too real it is.
But I have to say I've gotten past any of these issues of problem gambling, and it can take some mental work to do so. I am as close to an expert on the psychology of gambling as there can be.
I can walk through a casino for hours with money in my pocket and not play a single thing. It's like I view the EV as so bad I don't touch it.
That said, I've noticed that if I'm posting plays, which I like to only do if I am tracking, I tend to want to post more plays, or look for more plays, than I would normally play. It's a little Forum psychology thing, I suppose.
For example, I'm tracking a specific type of golf strategy in the golf threads but I want to throw out some tourney winners, matchups, and even some Top 10's that aren't in the same strategy and I'm not sure I want to track.
Making a thread for plays, tracking and all, can lead us to force plays, I guess that's what I'm trying to say.
Gold doing a great job in his big play thread of not forcing. Sometimes I want to force for the sake of the Forum.
That goes back to the SBR days for me as well.
It's just another thing that attacks our patience and discipline, two of the most important aspects of sports betting and gambling in general that we have no hope of winning or losing slower without them.

This is so true great post & perspective on gambling & forcing plays due to tracking purposes.I'm not going to say I can't relate because I understand the struggle and how all too real it is.
