why are the pitchers in today MLB so bad this yr

IMO Its MLB cracking down on the use of stuff like spider tack.
Case in point is Gerrit Cole's performance. His spin dropped like 500 rotations once they began implementing the "inspections".

this one yr in the bases you can toss out the stats for the most part, it a total crap shoot

how bad does the pitcher need to be before they are pulled? if i am the manager and our team starts going down 4-0 i’m pulling the pitcher and i won’t wait till the score is 14-0 just like with this one now.

They're not pitchers, they're throwers.

A true MLB pitcher has multiple pitches and accuracy and changes speed, pitches to contact, etc

Today's throwers throw 1 pitch as hard as they can, with 0 accuracy or change of speed, and maybe have a modest breaking ball or cutter

By the 2nd time thru the order, batters are only too happy to swing for the fences.

The ONLY pitch the human eye cannot adapt to is a change up that is 8 mph less than a fastball a pitch prior. The eye cannot detect that change.
