I live in Texas now (for decades) and during football tailgates, it's played a lot. Everyone has the boards/bags. You're required to play with a beer/drink in one hand. If you spill while throwing or picking up your bags, you forgo throwing the bags that round (costly on points).
The college kids are more serious about losing. One group had the losers chug 3 beers and run a lap around the parking lot. Lots of kids throwing up. SMH.
P.S. Before you call me redneck, etc... for being from Iowa, I also pretty good at
Axe Throwing which apparently is another ESPN pro sport.
