Like you, I met Waz. As of 2020, I can say that he was easily on the short list of best sports-handicappers I've crossed paths with.

Compare Waz to the betting-touts you see on a site like Wagertalk. I'm fond of Dave Cokin, just because he's been doing it profitably for so long. Other than Cokin, Waz trumped anyone else in that arena.
