I'm not an expert, but I have access to an expert (professional gambler) on these topics and one of the few things he taught me... "Never buy points".

Long-term, buying points is a losing proposition. Sure, you can pull out a win every now and then doing so, but long-term, NOPE.

I've never questioned this. If someone can prove its wrong, show me the data.

It's just common sense not to buy points. The books have all the stats and numbers on how profitable it is to sell you points. The books won't sell you points that will lead you to make money in the long run.

A good book on this topic is "Sharp Sports Betting" by Stanford Wong.

Out of curiosity, with US books generally a bit higher juiced, is the market price of a half point the same as it was 10 years ago?

If a half point cost 10 market points in value a decade ago, is it 15 market points today?

Yea my brain gets scrambled to much action and outs.
More so now that l’m betting all that totals and on live betting watching the live lines move and having to go back and forth to my thread because can’t remember if l have over or under.

over under backwards down over under sideways round
When will it end.
