  • Sunday's early game is in Camden Yards with lefty Jose Suarez taking the hill for the Los Angeles Angels while righty Austin Vothtoes the rubber for the Baltimore Orioles. Neither arm merits streaming consideration, but batters from both teams are in play to fortify hitting. After a slow start, Adley Rutschman (49%) has posted a .267/.330/.547 line over the past month. He's more than a one-game pickup. Ramon Urias (1%) and Jorge Mateo (12%) are also in play for Baltimore, with Mateo a solid candidate for a steal as he's already collected two bags this week. Jonathan Villar (3%) has been leading off for the Angels and is also a threat to run. Brandon Marsh (10%) is in a rut and has been dropped to the bottom of the order, but he's responded with a pilfer in each of the first two games of the series in Baltimore.
  • Streaming candidates aren't as plentiful as earlier in the week, but there are a handful of options to make up some ground in pitching on the last day of scoring this period in head-to-head leagues. Jake Odorizzi (8%) was hit hard by the Royals in his return from the IL. He's in a great spot to rebound on the road against an Athletics lineup with the league's lowest wOBA with a righty on the bump. Nick Lodolo (8%) doesn't bring the heat like fellow Reds rookie Hunter Greene, but Lodolo is more polished and the Rays are surprisingly the tenth least productive lineup facing lefties. Dylan Bundy (20%) has posted a 1.88 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over his last four starts and now draws a Rangers offense with the fourth lowest wOBA facing righthanders.
  • Aside from the hitters discussed in the early game, there are several bats available as standalone options, all with the platoon edge on middle and lower tier pitchers. They include Isaac Paredes (47%), Alek Thomas(11%), Alex Kirilloff (30%), Riley Greene(30%), Austin Slater (1%), Jarren Duran(18%), Jake Meyers (2%) and MJ Melendez(14%).
  • Saves are always a hot commodity in head-to-head leagues on Sunday. Here are some widely available closing options. Tanner Scott (17%), David Robertson (52%), Gregory Soto (60%), Will Smith (29%) and Jorge Lopez (45%). The Texas Rangers have moved Joe Barlow out of the closer's role. Dennis Santana and Brett Martin are the likely options while Barlow regains form in lower leverage scenarios.
  • Let's wrap up with a couple of notes. Texas Rangers catcher Mitch Garver will play his last game of the season on Sunday as he's ticketed for surgery to repair his injured flexor tendon on Monday. Garver has been used exclusively at designated hitter making Brad Miller most likely to pick up more playing time. Jonathan Schoop (43%) has swiped four bases so far this week. The Tigers play eight games nest week, so grabbing Schoop could be a sneaky source of bags heading into the break. It's official, Chris Sale will make his 2022 debut on Tuesday against the Rays.
