What happen to SBR

What happened to SBR? I use to go to that site to follow up on offshore books eating, but now you can see any off shore A books listed, like bookmaker, bovada, heritage, BOL. All just US base books.

weird that long-time mods there, that were always decent and respectful, have now become confrontational, condescending, and outright mean to posters

it's like going to a burger king in milwaukee... 30 years ago someone would say "welcome, how may i help you"... now you're lucky if they don't swear at you, you're just an annoyance to the miserable workers

Used to be they were more tolerable, now just by going over their post histories can see their hypocrisy and blatant biases towards certain posters - they literally protecting certain of their pet posters with censoring and cancel culture, and openly discussing with posters which people to target.

Some posters including nash were in negotiations with moderators to get rid of other posters or censor them - and moderators must have done what he wanted to convince him to stay.

Here is still offshore. Therx is U.S. based now too. Better off hanging out here & there depending on what you're into at the time. Best of both worlds.

True enough - it really all just depends on the moderators really, and that can change just as farst as it did at SBR.

i think when done in a civil manner, someone should be able to air their grievances as long as it isn't post after post after post like rudy

Agree, he hasn't had to. Equivalent to the rich athlete who worked his ass off in the beginning to get that big multi year contract than goes on auto-pilot saving future production/content only to step it back up on last year in contract. Can't wait until we see that Coach in the future.

I agree, and I understood from what Genie said, that we can air grievances and post bad opinions about others too - but just don't call each other things that would be classified as "R" rated in movies, so understand that to mean racist/bigoted/gay/pornographic/criminal/etc stuff.

Personally, I don't mind the repeat posting by Rudy or any others I argued with at SBR - because it's pretty easy to scroll post it or not them on ignore, no need to report anyone.

I understand that repeat posting is annoying for most, but I think there are way worse things people could be banned for than that.

I think I minimum, people should be able to reply/respond to a post - that would guaranteed that any poster has at least the right to quote and post a reply/response.

It's when posters don't get to reply/respond to anothers post, is when I think it's unfair - just like in courts, each said gets one chance to talk each.

What I found weird about SBR change of ownership then is why the US base book stop the reviews of their offshore counterparts. I mean if you going to buy the site to promote your own books, might as well start bashing the offshore ones.

But seriously it shouldn't be a US book vs offshore books. Heck half the US can't use US books.
