What’s wrong with the Braves?

They are not hitting or pitching.

tomorrow they are not even a favorite against a new pitcher.

This team may get swept by the Padres. I will be at Saturday nights game.

The key trades in 2021 that brought Atlanta from a 0.500 club in mid-season 2021 to win the World Series were...

Joc Pederson: 2021 w/ ATL OPS 0.753 (Gone to Giants)
Jorge Soler: 2021 w/ ATL OPS 0.882 (Gone to Marlins)
Eddie Rosario: 2021 w/ ATL OPS 0.983 Currently 0.197
Adam Duvall: 2021 w/ ATL OPS 0.800 Currently 0.630

As a team ATL OPS is down from 0.763 in 2nd half of 2021 to 0.703 in 2022
So the offense is down quite a bit.


But the pitching has done poorly as well.
Pitching: 2nd half 2021 3.44. Currently at 5.58


They are 3-4 in their first two series and both were at home. But, the quality of teams they were up against (Cincy, Wash) were not very high. They should have come out with a much better record than that. Maybe a 5-2 or at least a 4-3 in the first seven.
