Were The Denver Broncos Really Only A Quarterback Away?

Heard this a lot last couple of years about the Denver Broncos and how they are only a QB away from being contenders.

Will Russell Wilson really make that big of a difference?

To me the Broncos felt like they are just a QB away from being contenders ever since the end of the Manning era. Like a prototypical 6-10 or 7-9 team that would be 10-6 with an above average QB. I think Wilson gives them a chance, but it's hard to say how big of a chance.

That division has 4 of the top 6 teams in the AFC. Other 2 Cinci and Buffalo. Brutal. Maybe Tennessee is better than Raiders/Denver but to me Chargers/Buffalo are at the top right now
