TX State:
Texas State has a shot in this one albeit a small one. They upset App St last week. Yep the same App St that beat TX A&M, scared NC in week 1, and beat Troy in week 3. That Troy team is who Texas State plays this week. I know its a stretch to read too much into who beat who, etc.... but this will be a game with passing, passing, and more passing. Both teams earn about 80% of their yards through the air and they each allow a ton of passing yards on defense. I like the potential for an upset in a shootout.

Vandy:
This is a hope and prayer. The thought is maybe Georgia will sleep-walk through this game against Vandy. They have a tough upcoming schedule (Fla, Tenn, Miss St, Kentucky). Maybe, just maybe, Vandy surprises them in this one as Georgia looks ahead. Yards per point (YPPT) statistics for the season and last 3 games for these teams say this is a 12 point spread, not 38.

Best bet: 183 Kansas 9
TB: 276 Los Angeles Chargers -5

This really depends on Sonners QB Dillion Gabriel remaining out due to concussion. Couldn’t find any news about it but rolling the dice. Last week they didn’t trust their backup QB and ran a lot of wishbone. It was dreadful and even though Kansas won’t have their QB I expect another beat down for the Sooners.

A week after blowing out injury-riddled rival Oklahoma 49-0 Texas is a huge favorite this week against a 3-3 Iowa State team that according to analytics rankings is far better than their record. After such a big-game rout I wouldn't be surprised to see Texas come out with a bit of an emotional hangover Saturday, and even without that I think the market is succumbing to recency bias. A banged up Oklahoma squad, despite the name recognition, is a major step down from Iowa St., especially defensively. I St. has only let up more than 11 points once, and their 3 losses have all been by 1 score against good teams. It will take more than a good showing against a bad team and a close loss to Alabama to convince me that Texas is a 3 score favorite against a team that frequently holds opponents to under 4 yards a carry and QB ratings under 45.

Best Bet: 164 BYU +1.5

This one gets ugly and someone wins in a blow-out. Hope I am on the right side of it. Catching Arky off 3 tough conference games in Texas A&M, Alabama, and Miss St and facing a good running offense after facing a team that threw on them 48 times.

TB: 133 LSU +2.5

We all seen what Tennessee should have done to Florida. LSU makes it happen on the road in one of my favorite line spots as the road team +2.5

Best bet: 131 North Carolina -7

Duke comes into this one a bit banged up in a bad spot against a really dynamic NC offense that has played better competition to date. Duke has struggled against dual threat QBs and May is def that. I think NC scores early and often in this one putting Duke into catch-up mode and a likely blowout spot. I know that NC defense sucks but just not sure Duke is good enough to take full advantage. Just too much firepower on the offensive side of the ball for NC in this one.

TB bet: 253 Cincinnati Bengals -1

The Saints are as banged up as it gets on both sides of the ball. The Bengals are starting to find a groove offensively and are simply going to be too much for a Saints team that comes literally limping into this one. Bengals won't be caught off guard by the T. Hill curveballs that fed the Saints offensively last week.
