Well said which is why the D-Backs & Rangers made the WS as a WC in 2023. With that said a good barometer is their records vs teams over .500 since you're only facing those in the playoffs. LAD still the best while CHI & CLE are the worst. That's the main reason I don't see them advancing past 1R even with home field.
