Useless but Interesting MLB Favs/Dogs Data YTD

I like to see how teams play at Home and on the Road and if they cover when they should.
Here are a few charts of how teams are doing this year as:

Home Favs
Home Dogs
Vis Favs
Vis Dogs

Not sure there is a lot to read into this but I do point out a few interesting trends.
NOTE: Athletics are labeled as Sacremento

As Home Favorites....

• Colorado at 100% is misleading. They have only been favored at home and won ONCE this season.
• Some of you may see that the White Sox are not listed. Why? They've never won at home as a Favorite.
• Washington has yet to win at home as a Favorite. Kind of surprising since they aren't as bad as Colorado or CHW.
• Athletics (Sacremento) hates playing at home (even as dogs - see next post).

As Home Dogs.....

• Minny and the Dodgers are gimmes when dogs at home. Doesn't happen often for the Dodgers but take them when they are.
• Yankees have never won at hom as Dogs. Anyone else surprised by this?

As Visting Favorites:

• Athletics (Sacremento) as Favs on the road doesn't happen often but they don't lose when they are.
• Look at the next 4 teams (CHC, NYY, DET, PHI). Clearly playoff contenders and they will when they should on the road.
• Colorado and White Sox have never won a game as a Visiting Favorite. I'm not sure they've ever been a FAVORITE on the road this year.

As Visiting Dogs.....

• Tampa Bay surprisingly/unsuprisingly is the best of the mix on this stat. You might want to consider not betting against them when they are on the road as Dogs. What's crazy is they suck on the road as Favorites (see chart above - 33%).
• No shocker. Colorado just sucks. I don't care where they play.

Nothing’s really useless. It’s best to fade trends when they’re at a high level.
