Pretty funny

Practice round no less and Rory still went off on him, took the kid’s cell and walked away

Longhorn kid can play

Apparently referenced Rory’s back-nine meltdown on Sunday 2011 Masters

Here’s another story about it

I get it - it is “unprofessional”

At the same time - your getting paid and pro athletes in other sports hear WAY worse.

Kid apologized and sent a letter to Rory, PGA commissioner and basically anyone else who felt slightly offended.

I think it’s a bit of overkill myself. He said he was wrong - and was coming off of a win himself. Should be a learning opportunity and nothing more. No need for Rory to have taken his phone - if someone with the tour felt he crossed a line - let a tour official intervene. As a player - your job is to play. Even if it’s a practice round - do your job and practice - leave security/crowd control to the people who are paid to do that job.

I agree 100%. I think the only difference here is in golf the fans are so close to the players that it can make a difference but still no reason for him to act like this
