Cal Ripken, Jr. 2632 consecutive games played. This will NEVER be broken. No one even close…
Everyone said the same thing about Gehrig's mark....it takes a once every 50 years type of player.

I thought Matsui would get this in NY (if you combined his Jap streak w MLB, he finished at like 1800 consecutive games)

I could see a father/ son Mgr & 1B situation or a hometown kid at 1B that plays every game for 15 years, then we get into discussing those last 300 games or so vs productivity
