Classic case of 2 people being unprepared for terrain/conditions.

Sad - but sometimes people just don’t take it nearly as serious as they should - and pay the price.

Just because you can go someplace - doesn’t mean you should. Especially if you don’t have the experience/equipment to be out there when a change in weather happens. Kinda like driving out into the desert with a half tank of gas and no water.

It is suspicious to ke coach because they were only gone for a day before they were reported missing?

So they died of exposure in 24 hrs?

Doesn't seem right to me.

Go spend a day in the conditions they experienced that night and you’ll see.

You get wet - it gets to to 20 or so degrees - you will lose body heat quickly if your not properly equipped. Even worse if you are 59 years old and not physically out in those conditions regularly.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around this.

How can things go that bad that fast?

There's plenty of water in Oregon you could get away with bringing a water purification device and drink from all the water avaliable.

This is highly suspicious to me.

I feel like we aren't being told the truth.

So the weather in that area when these guys were there was between 35-48 degrees with mixed rain.

There was no snow until up about 4,000 feet.

Hard to believe these guys wouldn't know how to make a fire or bring a lighter to make one.
