There's a practical reason we've used these names as well as Indian pictures on currency in the past.

It is to educate young men and a greater community about the struggles and wars and past violence it took to win this land, and we show honor in naming our own battle warriors in their name.

The 'Karen's' that decry this are ignorant and naive of the truth, and the 'natives' that remain to decry it are the 3rd or 4th generation of the original Indians that survived because their parents were raised by the losers or females of the remaining tribes, because their grandfather died in battle.

In other words, the Native community lost it's leaders and it's self direction last 2 or 3 generations and clearly cannot help itself outside of a casino set up.
