Where's Kirk Cousins when you need him?

This is probably the best opportunity Sam Darnold's had in the NFL, but IDK if he's good enough for it to matter.

I don’t think this is a big deal for him. He was probably not ready to play this year and would struggle if implemented at the wrong time. This guy needs to sit on the bench for two or three years and learn this game from the outside in at this level, similar to what Jordan Love did. If Jordan Love played any kind of real action in his 1st few years, he would’ve never made it because he was simply not ready.

Have to disagree with those sentiments JDS. I think the best thing is throw the QB in to the mix and let him learn on the fly. If he is talented enough and is on a decent team he will succeed. Just look at Stroud last year. I don't think NFL teams want to wait 2-3 years for their supposedly Franchise to play. Yeah you have a Rodgers or a Brady manning the point that changes the equation. But all things equal let them play. just my 2 cents. thx.

Stroud and McCarthy in my opinion are not on par as far as sheer talent entering the NFL. So that’s a different situation entirely. I have no problem with you disagreeing. If you have a follow up rebuttal have at it lol.
