Tonight I got lucky not to get an NHL Finals bet down

After a pretty great last 7-8 weeks (one losing week for a little over three bills)

I’ve finally had a rough week (down almost $700 - basically gave back last week’s winnings in three days thanks mostly to Edmonton Game 2 and Mavs Game 3. It happens.

I was going to go pretty big on Edmonton tonight. Deposited $700 and was going to play it all -136. For some reason the transaction got stuck on the network for quite awhile (I know. BTC can definitely suck speed-wise). I was getting so pissed, seeing the line increase to -148. I was still going to play it because I was thinking I know what’s going to happen now, I’m not going to get to make my bet and Edmonton’s going to win easily (Isn’t this how it always happens?).

But now my deposit is still stuck on the network (only had this happen a few other times. I’m sure it will show up late tonight or tomorrow.)

So even though I had no play I sure feel like I won (unless of course Edmonton pulls off the miraculous).

I didn’t even want to look at the score but of course so did. Felt awesome to see 4-1 Cats

It was definitely going to be a bet tonight larger than my average. Would have been a chase bet which I have kept away from for quite awhile now but I really liked the Oilers tonight. Very lucky the way it played out.

The other losses this week just added up.

Yes. At least once before not too lonf. I can’t remember the exact circumstance.

It used to happen in the olden days of MG a couple times a year when Jose Feliz Miguel Valenzuela couldn’t pick up the transfer in a timely fashion in Nicaragua.

When you’ve been in the game long enough these situations break both ways. Wins and losses that you should have had but didn’t get the bet down.

Happened too in the days of the local. Him not answering the phone or his pager.
