"A football jersey worn by Tom Brady sold at auction over the weekend for $480,000, making it the most expensive game-worn NFL jersey worn in history, according to ESPN.
The anonymous buyer, who made the purchase from the auction house Goldin, will receive the Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey with Brady's number 12 on the back.
On the white numbers are several inscriptions which make the jersey stand out. It notes the game's date – January 3, 2021 – Brady's game stats from his 44-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons, and the signature of the most successful quarterback in the history of the league.
But the best feature of all? Brady signed "G.O.A.T." - the Greatest Of All Time – on the bottom.
The astronomical sale broke the record set just last month by another Brady jersey. In December, a Brady game-worn autographed jersey sold for $320,500 with NFL Auction. All of the proceeds went to charity."
