Tipping fellow degenerates

I don't play slots much while in a land casino except for video poker and a a very few others I feel casino only has slight advantage on me. Anyway have you ever been on a slot machine,someone next to you has a major hit and had them tip you right after?
I have had this happen to me a number of times and it leaves me incredulous. WTF are you tipping a complete stranger sitting next to you? I always try to refuse it but they are very insistent usually.

One lady gave me a 100 bill. Granted she had hit like 3 majors for 2 or 3 thousand each on the same machine but still. Maybe I looked needy lol.

I could see tipping a hot shooter at a craps table, or even someone playing a good third base at a crowded blackjack table - but tipping some dude at the slot machine next to you?!?!

No, I'm not tipping other players with my money. At most, I'll tip casino staff who are the ones actually working for tips

But like malted said I have had an old guy with probably $20k in chips in front of him 20 years ago give us “college kids” a $100 chip when we’d get on a roll tossing the dice

This is when we were playing for $10 a roll so it was a lot of $$ back then

I've had this happen too at a craps table in Vegas. Rolling the dice and hitting numbers continuously. But that night, we had to leave to get to a show. A guy at the table gave me $100 to stay and continue throwing. I didn't take the money though since the tickets cost 2X that and the wife was getting upset.

showing any attention to a hot woman you are a sucker. let her show the interest and then make a move. if she shows no interest, don't show any interest.

if someone next to me tips me, i would think something is up. just seems weird.
