When we look back on his career, other than a brief resurgence in 2013 and the excellent finish to 2018 and the 2019 Masters, most of his dominance came in the decade 2000s, right before that news broke.
That said, what he accomplished is enough to be called the GOAT by most golf observers. Only other player you could make an argument for is Nicklaus. They are 1-2, 2-1, whichever way you look at it probably comes from what generation you’re a part of
