I actually think Martindale is very good. Team sucked, but I thought his guys played for him. Did as well as he could...and he'll get work again.

Another mutual parting of ways.

Got to admire this guy - they fired his top generals - and he let them have it cursing them up and down before walking off the job. Unsurprisingly - a mutual agreement was reached regarding his departure.

He will soon have his pick of jobs from several top gigs. Could easily see him going to Dallas - can you imagine - you not only get a cherry job with a team that loves to spend on players - you also get to face your old boss at least 2x a year.

Ravens and Rams will also likely have open slots to fill. Ravens present another nice opportunity for him - or what about the Bears ?

The Bears with Montez Sweat in place could be the wild card in this - come in, knowing you have Carolina’s first pick and #9 overall / gives you an opportunity to pickup both a stud defensive player and if Eberflus gets canned at some point next year - your next in line for the HC position. It’s a great position to be in - and worst case - Eberflus wins and stays - you are a top assistant on a playoff team loaded with talent.
