Greetings all,
Curious if anyone has ever dealt with a situation like this. Thrive Fantasy was a U.S based DFS app that was reputable and paying for a few years (during the prize picks and underdog boom). Thrive was seemingly left behind and appears to have ran out of cash to pay their users. Slowly over the last years they have gone from letting go of employees, stopped offering contests, and now the app doesn't even load properly any longer.
I have tried writing the AG of New York who said "there are not enough reported cases" and contacted their court system who said I can sue them but it has to be in person in the state of New York and even if they're summoned to pay, they may not pay it.
I have been on sites before that have closed up (monkey knife fight, superdraft, stathero) and they are emailed and offered a withdraw accordingly. My post wasn't working here when I attached links but a quick BBB search and google search, as well as the reviews on the app store highlight the issues.
I'm struggling how a licensed dfs site in the U.S can "get away with this" and wondering if I'm missing any avenues. Thank you
