He picked me up in Newark and seemed a nice guy. I got into his vehicle and he tosses a blindfold onto my lap. He says to put it on as it was necessary for security reasons. Weird, but OK, I put it on. He drives for a while and keeps pointing out this deli and that deli. I can't see a thing but OK, delis are good in Jersey. ??? What a weirdo and I am already regretting my decision to meet him.
Well, we park and he instructs me to remove the blindfold. In front of me is the backyard where he made many videos. It was surreal seeing it in person. It's all rocks and a few weird plants. Not one blade of grass. He says he likes it that way so it stays clean and also tells me for the same reason he shaves every hair on his body??
He leads me into the house to show me around. It's much smaller than I thought and he says not to be too loud as there is a pharmacy attached. Wtf?? Who lives in a house connected to a pharmacy? The place is spotless, it looks like noone even lives there. There isn't a single thing on any of the kitchen counters. Upstairs there is a pullup bar in a doorway and a chalk board next to it. The chalk board is so clean it looks brand new even though I knew he's used it. What a clean freak.
We go back downstairs and he wants to show me his basement where I guess he used to meet compaqdikk and others to discuss internet security. The doorway is really small and as I go in first I wonder what happens if he locks me in from behind?? Well I go in anyways and the floor is all rocks, the ceiling is low, and in the corner he has what must be 20 or 30 servers blinking lights?? Probably 100 ethernet cables going up through the floor into his house. Great, i'm going to be locked in and there's probably going to be an internet broadcast of my live torture or worse, a sexual pinwheel.
Anyways I kind of keep my distance from the guy as he doesn't look that big in videos but he's at least 6ft and very solid upper body. I am 6'6" but 120lbs. He looks at you a little funny with this weird smirk too. I manage to meander my way back towards the door and get out quick. I told him I was running late and had to get back so ran out the door and caught on a public bus I saw coming down the street. He just stood there in his sweat pants and moccasins waving.
It was great to meet you coach but in the future I will stick to public spaces.
