The 1999/2000 St Louis Rams
Before Kurt Warner & this team burst on the scene surprising everyone out of nowhere, you could find much higher odds on NFL Futures
My friend and I happened to be in Las Vegas at the Excalibur Sportsbook when the Rams were about to go 4-0 to start the season.
Amazingly they were still like 50 to 1 at that Sportsbook to win it all but understandably so as most people expected it to be a fluke.
So my buddy goes and lays a couple hundred dollars on them to win it all and I initially laughed at him when he came to sit back down but then I got to thinking my God I better do the same thing just in case.
Needless to say despite being a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan we rooted for the Rams to keep winning that year.
Then found ourselves in a pickle as they faced our Bucs in the NFC championship Game.
NFL future payoff odds changed after that year and that St Louis Rams team.
