I have been hearing some negative things about Bovada lately, and decided to put together a comprehensive post about why you should stay away from them. I don’t like them, but I’ll make it unbiased. However, given a choice between saving BetMania or Bovada I’d save BetMania.
1. They are the most deceptive operation when it comes to new sign ups.
-Take their bonus, great rollover, great amount, guess what Bucko? Wager more than half your deposit you lose all your funds. (Unless you lose, then you get another offer again and again until you win, then 3 month KYC process and maybe you get your deposit back)
Let me explain further, when I was 18 (21 now, I used to unknowingly bonus whore Bovada. I went on a heater, my first year of college, and I’d wager, withdrawal, redeposit-get a bonus keep playing etc. I was doing $100-$200 wagers though and really all I did was withdrawal and redeposit, and I withdrew around $26,000 all was said and done and felt like I was on top of the world. Big money for me at the time. That’s how it should still be. I’m still welcome to play there, this story isn’t about me I’ve never had any problems there. They’ve really gone down the dumps in 2024.
2. If you wager more than half your deposit and end up playing through the rollover one of two things happen.
A. You get a warning. (usually if you’re only up a couple thousand.
B. You get banned with all your money.
The only Sportsbook that says you can’t wager more than half your deposit but lets you do it anyway until you win.
3. KYC is agitating.
-I’ve seen reports of people doing their scan and getting hit with a “failure to confirm identity, try again in 48 hours. Pretty sure it took someone 5 attempts over at AskGamblers before they finally got the scan to work.
4. Their lines are garbage. If you want to get favorites here, you’re betting off going to mybookie and betting the favorite.
5. If you win at a casino bonus just delete your account. You aren’t getting paid darling.
So yeah, I just don’t like Bovada. They were good to me but I just can’t stand greedy sportsbooks. As BAUS once said. You have a license to print money, why screw it up by scamming minute amounts of players. Something like that.
BetOnline is Bovada’s Bigger and more Mature brother. And they are step siblings.
