I think I saw where Musk & co are building an android themselves

So doesn't really make sense unless he's just trying to deter the competition and get them to stop and he continue

didnt we as humans update over time to treat every other creature, animal, environment and each other into their enemies?

hell, its probably the same endeavor,

develop the best ai
direct it as the most evolved tool/weapon towards the same ^before mentioned things.

Yes because another country isn't gonna just stand there while those in power ban AI. It will be weopionized and it's like any other competition. Sports for example is the same way. Survival it's in our DNA code
