Hello there forum! Glad to be back (in the shape of a new intern). So we've decided to start something new and bring one of our best articles to the forum. We hope that you enjoy!

By: Doug Upstone

To get this article started, we have several stories from last night on the hardwood or the hard ice, including a sad story that finally ended in the Big East. We then jump ahead to talk about Jeff Saturday, a golf feud, and where the AZ Cardinals DeAndre Hopkins could be headed. This and rumors about Aaron Rodgers, plus our top trends, free picks, betting system, and more!

About Last Night…

NBA

If you are thinking about making a futures bet on Boston because they have the best record in the league, do more research and wait. The Celtics lost at Miami last night 98-95 and while they were without all their players, that’s two straight losses and they are on a 0-4 ATS trend. There is nothing to trust about this team.

Right on Boston’s heels for the best record is Denver, who squeaked by New Orleans 99-98 as three-point favorites. The Pelicans are 3-9 SU this month and Zion Williamson is expected to miss two more weeks, meaning he’s played in less than half of his team’s games. How do you build around a player who cannot stay on the floor?

With the Clippers’ 133-115 drubbing of the Lakers, Clips coach Tyronn Lue is now 10-0 against the Purple and Gold. No coach has ever had such a start versus the Lakers.

NCAAB

We have shown no mercy on Georgetown for losing a record of 29 straight Big East games. It is time to congratulate them for ending the streak, beating DePaul Tuesday 81-76 as 1.5-point home underdogs. Despite making only 27 of 41 from the charity stripe (65.9%) that was 16 more free throws than the Blue Demons converted which was enough for the victory. Can the Hoyas make it two straight at St. John’s Sunday?

MAC favorites were just 2-4 ATS Tuesday night, with the biggest shocker Ball State losing 91-65 as six-point home faves to Buffalo.

NHL

Colorado has moved up to 3rd place in the Central Division after beating Washington 3-2 last night, giving them six wins in a row as their team health continues to improve.

Pittsburgh was a -165 home favorite over Florida Tuesday and quickly fell behind 2-0. The Penguins with two first-period goals made it 2-2 and after that, the two teams were 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, and 6-6. In OT, the Pens took advantage of the Panthers' 26th-ranked penalty kill unit to win the game.

The Buzz

NFL – Is 2 Better Than 1

Reports have Jeff Saturday getting a second interview with the Colts after sort of interviewing before becoming interim head coach at Indianapolis. That interview would be one more than the number of wins he had as their head coach with the Colts.

Golf – Patrick Reed vs. Rory McIlroy

Reed and McIlroy are playing in the same tournament this week in Dubai and Monday the talk on the range was about McIlroy not willing to greet Reed when practicing and Reed throwing a tee at him in disgust.

McIlroy provided his side of the story at a later press conference and if true, it explains his actions which were justified.

NFL – DeAndre Hopkins' Next Team if Not Arizona

BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review) posted betting odds on where Hopkins might land based on the information we currently know. See what you think.

  • Packers (+300)
  • Chiefs (+450)
  • Patriots (+450)
  • Ravens (+700)
  • Giants (+900)
  • Bears (+900)
  • Cowboys (+1000)
  • Browns (+1000)
  • Chargers (+1000)
  • Jaguars (+1200)
  • Bucs (+1600)
  • Raiders (+1600)

Top Betting System

NBA – Atlanta Over Oklahoma City (+1.5)

Home teams like the Thunder when the line is +3 to -3, having won five or six of their last seven games, with a winning percentage of between 40-49% on the season, are 27-7 ATS since 2018, winning by 4.8 PPG.

Out the Door

NFL – Colin Cowherd

Say what you will about Cowherd, but this is pretty funny concerning the rumor of the Jets going after Aaron Rodgers.

NFL – Greg Olson

After listening to Greg Olsen on the No. 1 team at FOX this season, does anyone think Tom Brady would actually be better than him for that job as an analyst?

NFL Playoff – Bengals in Trouble

Most sportsbooks opened Cincinnati as a +1 or +1.5-point underdog and with a degree of uncertainty about Patrick Mahomes, the betting odds have them at -1 or -1.5.

The last nine playoff teams that moved from a dog to a favorite role are 3-6 ATS.

Who Is Right?

In the A-10 tonight, the Loyola-Chicago at Duquesne is kind of a sleeper. The Ramblers are in their first year in the A-10 and in the basement at 1-6. The Dukes after a good start to their season is just 3-4 in the conference.

Duquesne opened as a 10-point home favorite and is now sitting at -8.5, with 77% of the wagers on them. But the line went down for a reason and 78% of the money is on Loyola. This is one of the biggest betting disparities we’ve had on percentages, where would you land?

Let’s get some winners! See you back here Friday!

Cool post and good read. Interesting to note that Louisville should be an automatic bet to fire away due to their shitty ATS record
  • Louisville is 4-20 ATS after two straight games with nine or less offensive rebounds.
and surprised its not more talked or more people don't bet them due to how bad they are record wise as well. Seems a lot of squares or newcomers would be betting them.

I just doubled checked and they have only played 19 games this season so something is not right about that ats record plus it looks like there true ats record is 6-13. Still bad but not nearly as bad.

Good eye! But I believe this ATS is just for after two straight games with nine or fewer offensive rebounds so maybe a little bit more detailed than the regular ATS!

O I assumed it was a stat just for this season but this is dating back from previous years than? Do you know how far back this goes in past seasons? Otherwise this doesn't make much sense to me.

Doug here, that went back at least two years as I recall.
