Guy claimed what he was doing was in a gray area and still is facing prison time. It doesn't seem worth paying for even for roughly a little less than half the cost if it is facing buffering issues versus using HULU plus, FUBO, Sling TV, or Youtube TV.

I guess the guys doing it in Russia or Asia don't have to worry about the US law though.

Yeah I think their main focus would be to go after the people providing the service. I do know that you can get fined by your ISP for using torrents though.
