The Carolina Panthers will raise ticket prices following a 2-15 season.
According to Steve Reed of the Associated Press, tickets to Panthers home games are increasing by an average of 4 percent in 2024. That includes a 7 percent uptick in lower-level seats for permanent seat license owners.
While the team didn't release specific ticket prices, they said the most affordable season ticket plan will remain unchanged at $510.
Carolina claimed its research determined that 93 percent of NFL teams will raise ticket prices next season. That would equate to 30 of 32 NFL teams, but four have yet to reveal pricing.
Panthers fans entered 2023 with high hopes behind first-year head coach Frank Reich and No. 1 pick Bryce Young. However, they ranked last in total offense and scoring during a disastrous season.
Reich got fired 11 games into his Panthers tenure, causing the organization to appoint its sixth head coach in five years. Panthers owner David Tepper appeared to throw his beer at a fan during a Week 17 shutout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Despite those doldrums, Carolina drew the eighth-highest average home attendance at 71,635 people per game. But if the Panthers don't significantly improve in 2024, fans will probably have better luck purchasing cheaper single-game tickets on the secondary market.
