In the DOI, there were 24 Grievances against the King.
Some say 27, but 4 were tied directly to rights at Sea.
If, on today's day of Independence, you take the time to Wiki them, think of 3 current issues w the current Administration, and sew how they compare.
1- his abuse of Executive Orders to bypass Congress
2- the 2020 election, Jan 6 hearings, and State by State modification of election rules without legislative action
3- covid mandates and policy/ action on Energy & Immigration
You could very easily say this Administration is more oppressive and over bearing than the King ever was, as 22 of the 24 Grievances apply rather obviously.
Let us not lose sight of what made and has made, Americans exceptional.
