The Super Bowl is Sunday and we like you are ready to get things started. We offer more insights including a betting trend about MVP winners playing in the big game. Holy Cow is Ohio State men's basketball a dumpster fire as we explain.

If you are a golf fan you have seen No. 16 at the Phoenix Open, here is a behind-the-scenes look at how it starts out. This and Top Trends, Free Picks, and a whole lot more.

About Last Night…

NBA

The Trade Deadline was crazy in the NBA. Everyone can speculate what might happen and who benefitted or lost out, that will all be determined at a later date. Here are the main highlights.

When looking at the NBA odds to win the Western Conference, look at what happened after the Suns got Kevin Durant.

Feb. 9:

  • Nuggets (+325)
  • Grizzlies (+450)
  • Warriors (+500)
  • Clippers (+500)
  • Mavericks (+700)
  • Suns (+750)
Feb. 10:
  • Suns (+225)
  • Nuggets (+350)
  • Clippers (+600)
  • Warriors (+750)
  • Grizzlies (+750)
  • Mavericks (+800)

NCAAB

Ohio State was 1-9 SU and ATS since beating Northwestern to start 2023. The Buckeyes hosted the Wildcats as 5.5-point home favorites and lost 69-63. Ohio State was 1-for-14 from behind the arc, while Northwestern was 12 for 29.

That means the Buckeyes were outscored by 33 points on deep shots and won all other facets by 27 points. What a sorry state of hoops in Columbus.

Loyola-Marymount stunned St. Mary’s 78-74 as six-point home underdogs, giving the Gaels their first conference loss. The Lions have beat St. Mary’s and Gonzaga this season and moved into 3rd place in the WCC.

NHL

Though it doesn’t change last season’s Stanley Cup result, Tampa Bay had to at least feel good about crushing Colorado Thursday, winning 5-0. The Lightning opened at -125, slipped to -117 in the morning but closed at -145, which proved accurate.

Out the Door

Super Bowl – Gatorade Bet

Because everyone betting wants the color to be used when the Chiefs or Eagles win the Lombardi Trophy, as a public service, where you go.

Super Bowl - Latest Betting Info

It looks like the Eagles will go off as a 1.5-point favorite over the Chiefs. Philadelphia is getting 60 to 65 of every 100 bets placed pretty consistently.

The total seems to have settled at 51, though a couple of books are down to 50.5.

Travis Kelce is the top choice for all touchdown props and Jalen Hurts has the most bets on rushing props for the Over in yards gained.

Super Bowl Fodder

  • New – With the announcement that Patrick Mahomes has won the MVP, you need to know this. Quarterbacks that are the MVPs, playing in the Super Bowl are 6-15 SU and 5-14-2 ATS, including 0-8 SU and ATS since 2002.
  • Kansas City is 8-11 ATS on the season. They are the 6th team to reach the Super Bowl with a losing ATS record. And the previous five teams went 1-4 SU and 1-4 ATS in the Super Bowl. (Thanks to @ESPNStatsInfo)
  • Philadelphia is currently a -125 moneyline favorite at most of the best sportsbooks over Kansas City and the favorite is 36-20 in the Super Bowl.
  • For Super Bowl 57, the Chiefs will wear white and the Eagles will wear green jerseys. For what it is worth, the team wearing white has won 15 of the last 18 big games.
  • There have been six previous quarterbacks that made the Super Bowl after leading the NFL in passing that season. Each lost the Big Game. Will Patrick Mahomes be the next victim?
  • The winning team has not trailed in the first quarter of the last dozen games.
  • The shortest touchdown was Under 1.5 yds in 6 of the 7 contests.

Who Is Right?

The NBA has 11 games on Friday evening. The contest with the greatest betting division is Cleveland at New Orleans. The separation has to do with the total as 67% of the cash is riding the Under and 75% of bets placed are on the Over. The Cavs are 17-11 Under on the road and the Pelicans are 16-13 Under at home. What side would you fall on?

Let’s get some winners! Enjoy the Super Bowl and see you back here Friday.
