Tanko's UFC 274 Picks

Not a huge UFC capper but I've got a lot of friends who focus on this sport. Accumulated some of their picks and added my own thoughts to a few and here is my card for tonight.




Gaethje +124 is the pick. Phenomenal wrestler. Match is in his home state of Arizona (crowd will be behind him).
Oliveira didn't make weight. Huge red flag. Only 9 out of 27 fighters that failed to make weight for a match in 2020 have gone on to win their fight.

Rose Namajunas -210 vs Carla Esparza
Rose is the pick even though she lost to Esparza which was 8 years ago. Long time ago and they are on different trajectories now. Rose is a better striker doesn't take as many direct blows. I will say she is weak when on the mat.

Chandler -370 vs Ferguson
Chandler the pick. Ferguson coming off 3 brutal losses. Chandler did lose his last two but they were against very good competition. Chandler is a better striker and a excellent wrestler which will offset Ferguson's Jiu Jitsu.

Cowboy (Cerroni) -210 vs Lauzon
Cowboy is the pick. Lauzon hasn't fought since 2019. Cowboy better on the ground and also has 2X the strikes per minute than Lauzon. Cowboy has reach advantage.


One prop bet Brown/Williams - Williams will win inside distance +160
