At +135 for STL this looks like a decent play. This seems like a pretty even matchup so I'll take the +odds.

Pallente (STL) is gradually being worked from relief to starter. I don't expect him to last more than 3-4 innings since he pitched in relief on Wednesday. STL hasn't used up their pen so they'll be ok for the game.

Pivetta (BOS) has also been pitching well. BOS pen is a little more used up than the Cards.

What I do like about the Cards and feel they have an edge, is their batting. 0.313 avg, 0.936 OPS over last 7 days. They are scoring well: 5.3 runs/gm over last 10. And dlthough they are 6-4 in their last 10, they've been within 1 run on every loss.

The +odds looked good to me for this matchup.

Miami @ NYM 1:40 ET

Miami has a good shot of avoiding the sweep today. Alcantrara (MIA) 1.68 ERA has been pitching very well. He's been gonig 7, 8, or 9 innings in his last 7 starts. He's 4-0 during that stretch. Marlins ended up losing only 1 of those 7 games (3-2 to Phillies).

Bassitt (NYM) 4.01 ERA is pretty good too. His season seems to be playing out like a roller coaster with good days and really bad days.

NYM have a slight edge on batting but I believe Alcontrara will off-set that edge.

Marlins have only been swept once this season when playing 3 or more games in a series (18 series 3+ gm series played).

Braves at Cubs

This one has the markings of being an O9 total.

Both pitches have given up plenty of runs in their last 3-4 starts.
Anderson's (ATL) last 4 starts ended: 9-5, 13-2, 13-6, 6-4 scores.
Kendricks (CUB) last 4 starts: 12-5, 4-3, 4-3, 10-6 scores.

Both teams are batting very well over the last 10 games.
ATL: 150 WRC, 0.916 OPS, 0.270 AVG
CUB: 99 WRC, 0.719 OPS, 0.256 AVG

5 out of the last 7 games for ATL were > 9 total. (another game was at 8)
5 out of the last 7 games for CUB were >= 9 total.

Cubs bullpen is pretty poor of late. They are 28th in the league over the last 10 days.
ATL bullpen is pretty good. 3rd over the last 10 days. So hopefully, Anderson gives up plenty of runs before the Braves pull him.

Wind is from right to left field. Light breeze at 5 mph so I don't see any help or harm from the weather.
