Story time?
I was doing real well playing 2/5 nl, up about $1200. It was almost daylight. Had been there about 10 hours drinking.
went to play Baccarat for $200 real quick and the dealer misread the hand or something and gave me an extra card on a 6 vs 7 to give me 9 vs 7. She paid it out and I picked up the winnings. I really didn’t realize what happened at the time because I was pretty buzzed.
About 5 minutes later a dick pit boss found me at poker. (I had probably played 5-6 single baccarat hands that night to take a quick poker break so I recognized him). He was trying to explain what happened and was totally trying to blame me and made a big deal out of it in front of the other poker players. He told me I owed him $400. If he’d have been cool about it i would have just paid. I told him to f*** off and I didn’t know what he was talking about.
Pit boss Came back a few minutes later with an eye in the sky print out of the seven versus six hand before the girl made the mistake and gave me a 3 card on the 6 I guess. At that point I just got up took my chips from Poker and the ones I had in my pocket from winning on other games went to the window to cash out and told the guy I’m out of here and asked what kind of bs joint are they running here?
He told me to wait here. I saw him go about 150 or 200 yards away to talk to this cop or security guy. Luckily I had kind of walked the other way and noticed the front door and I walked right out. There was a cab about 20 feet from me. I hopped in and was off to my hotel
Happened about 2016. Last trip I took with my ex wife too so it would have been fitting if I’d have been tossed in the slammer
