Saturday's MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins -125
I will gladly back the Twins at -125 on the moneyline at home against the White Sox. If Minnesota was swinging a little hotter bat, this would be one of my top bets of the entire day. With that said, I think this could be the game where the Twins offense finally shows up with a big outing.
Chicago will have Vince Velasquez on the mound and he's not exactly been sharp in his first two starts. Command has been a major issue with 3 free passes in each of his two starts (6 BB's in 8 2/3 innings). Both of those starts also came at home, where guys usually pitch better.
On the flip side of this, the Twins will turn to one of their best starters in Dylan Bundy. In 2 starts so far in 2022, Bundy has allowed just 1 ER on 6 hits in 10 1/3 innings. He's got a 8/1 K/BB ratio as well.
While Bundy's got a very mediocre 4.22 ERA in 5 career starts against the White Sox, his team is a perfect 5-0 in those 5 starts. He's also got a sensational 0.969 WHIP in those 5 starts, which means he's just been a bit unlucky with the ERA. Give me the Twins -125!

The Colorado Rockies have been impressive this season. They have gone 8-4 while hitting .284 and scoring 5.1 runs per game. Their bullpen has posted a 3.06 ERA and 1.180 WHIP in 50 innings pitched this season as well.
Antonio Senzatela has posted a 2.16 ERA in his two starts against the Cubs and Dodgers this season for the Rockies as well. Tarik Skubal and the Tigers should not be this big of favorites over the Rockies today. Skubal has gone 9-17 with a 4.52 ERA in his three seasons in the big leagues. Detroit is hitting just .210 and scoring 3.0 runs per game on the season.
Colorado is 11-4 in its last 15 road games. The Rockies are 8-2 in their last 10 interleague games vs. a team with a losing record. Bet the Rockies in Game 1 Saturday.

The Boston Celtics were clearly the best team in the NBA over the last third of the season, and they have been the better team in their series vs Brooklyn as well as the Celtics have opened with a 2-0 series lead.
What makes things more difficult is the Boston defense has bottled up and frustrated Kevin Durant, and now they get Robert Williams back in the middle of an already top-rated defense. Williams is the only center that has allowed under 40% shooting and makes a huge difference, as the Boston defense has been great so far, and will be better in game 3.
The Nets have struggled all season, and I don't expect that to change here vs a very tough Boston team. Make the play on Boston as a Max Play.
