The Tampa Bay Rays will have some revenge in mind heading into Game 1 of this series with the Oakland A’s. They inexplicably lost three out of four to the A’s at home as -220, -210 and -180 favorites from April 11-14. I think we are getting the Rays at a discount today as -154 favorites in Game 1 of this series now.
Drew Rasmussen is 1-1 with a 3.50 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in four starts this season. He shut out the Mariners in 6 innings in his last start with 9 K’s to boot. He’ll be opposed by Daulton Jeffries, who allowed 5 earned runs in 4 innings of a 2-8 loss to the Giants in his last outing to come back down to reality.
There is almost zero home-field advantage for the A’s, which is why I think this -154 price is a discount compared to the -200’s the Rays were laying at home. The A’s are hitting .203 and scoring 2.8 runs per game at home this season. The Rays are scoring 4.8 runs per game on the road.
The Rays are 43-18 in their last 61 vs. a team with a losing record. The A’s are 1-5 in their last six home games. Bet the Rays Monday.

I'll take my chances with the UNDER 8 in Monday's series finale between the White Sox and Angels. Really good pitching matchup in this one, as we got Patrick Sandoval going for LA and Dylan Cease taking the mound for Chicago.
Sandoval has not allowed a run in 3 starts. Not only does he have a 0.00 ERA, but he's got a very strong 1.00 WHIP with 20 K's in 15 innings. After going just 4 innings in each of his first two starts, he gave up just 2 hits in 7 scoreless innings in his last start at home against the Indians.
