Sorry, my mistake. $2M for the logo but there was $1M kickback since it is FIFA and they are all corrupt.

FIFA brass pissed they had to give the WC to a 3-way country venue just to bullshit the world that FIFA aint corrupt. Much more difficult to extort three countries than one. Maybe they should take the corruptness out of the country selection by playing the next tournament in the previous winner's country.

Nice idea but then the winner will always be in the next tourny since the host auto-qualifies. Not sure that would work out.

Also, we'd have 9 out of 10 world cups in England or Europe (maybe the occasional Brazil).

True. Not sure why I through England in there.
Its really would become the "European" based world cup. Also, if Argentina or another small country won, they'd have to pass since they wouldn't have the infrastructure to host such a large event.

Brazil suffered after they hosted in 2014. The money they spent almost bankrupted the government.

It is a unique idea though for this to happen.
