4 WC games again - 4 teams trying to avoid an 0-2 hole including 3 home teams.

So who would you pick as the most likely to win today ?

I’d go:

Baltimore
Milwaukee
San Diego
Houston

Baltimore is the easiest pick - down 0-1 - lost in a. 1-0 game yesterday and clearly they have the offense to beat the Royals. if they can get in scoring position (or even if they don’t). They need this one to even it up and should win as the odds reflect. KC good but young - like the O’s here slightly over the next team on the list.

Milwaukee is my favorite in this position - again - down 0-1 at home, they have the bullpen to take control even though yesterday didn’t show it. Mets on the other hand have a shaky pen and inconsistent bats outside of Lindor. High strike out Mets either win 9-2 or lose 4-1. I’d me on Milwaukee here and possibly hedge a little with an alternate RL on Mets if you must.

San Diego is the only home team I like - and for good reason. Most complete team here and taking on Braves who did nothing after squeaking into the WC round. Would pass playing this game at current price.

Finally - Houston in the 4th spot. Down 0-1 - it’s more a reflection of lack of confidence in Houston bats than faith in Detroit. Again - young Detroit team rode their ace yesterday - but doesn’t matter who they throw out there as Houston has struggled versus everyone at times. The fact they are the most favored of all teams is perplexing to me here. Detroit is playing on house money at the moment and you never bet against a team in that position. Getting Tigers at +150 or better is gift from the gambling gods.

Padres but there is no "lock" this time of year in baseball. Braves played 3 games in less than 36 hours, no shock their bats were crap yesterday.

But so have the Mets - and theirs were on the road.

Braves had “luxury” of 2 at home - should have won first Monday and eliminated any doubt of making it.

Still Braves showing effect of injury and a tired team.

I used to be a heavy BB better. Life got in the way...on my 3rd marriage, commuting to and from Philly 5 days / week (2.5 hours / day) etc. I have noticed in all my years of betting baseball to always play the under...in all playoff games. Yesterday I went 3-1. Won the 1st game today (Tigers) and looks like the O's game will stay under as well. I just turn my brain off and bet the under's. We will see how this theory plays out in the playoffs this year.
