Should a Tipped ball interception count on the QB's record?

I'm not talking about the play itself, but count on his record?

I feel that when a tipped ball leads in the other team's hands, and they say, Oh, he just threw an interception
it shouldn't count as a "true" interception

maybe an interception record and a "Tipped" interception record, LOL

Doesn't MLB factor in such things on hits & errors?

I think QB was the one who threw the ball where it could be touched. So should count against them.
