I’ve been real good about keeping a race-by-race thread posting my picks and parlays the last couple of seasons thanks to encouragement from a couple of posters.

I want to take it a step further and post win-loss totals week-to-week and for the year.

My goal and what’s been a real money-maker for me the last year or two has been parlaying the races (with another race or with other sporting events). Low-risk, high-reward. Hit multiple big parlays last season using this philosophy.

Also, there will be weeks I just might totally lay off if I’m not feeling it. In year’s past late summer there were several races in a row I always seemed to lose momentum at. Last year I skipped them completely (three weeks). And finished the year strong when I picked things back up again.

This first bet will be a perfect example of low-risk, high-reward.

Only one play so far this weekend.

Daytona very tough track to handicap so won’t be risking much at all.

$12 risked to win $2,020.

Parlay:

-Austin Hill to win Saturday O’Reilly’s (formerly Xfinity Series) race
-Scottie to win Masters
-Spurs to win Western Conference

Austin Hill has won at Daytona twice and excels at this style racing.

If he happens to win and Scottie comes through at the Masters, I’ll have a hell of a fun ticket rooting on the Spurs in the West (which I’d be doing anyway).

Sometimes but not usually. No point risking any money to win $12 (in this instance).

That’s the beauty of these parlays only have to hit one or two here and there and over the course of a month you might only risk $200-300.
