Police believe that the suspect, who was found dead inside the building, was a student at the Abundant Life Christian School, Madison, Wisconsin, Police Chief Shon Barnes said at a briefing Monday.

“Officers located a juvenile who they believe was responsible for this deceased in the building,” he said.

“We believe the shooter was a student at the school, yes,” the chief later confirmed when asked.

Politicians can put all the restrictions in the world on guns but people will always be able to find a way to get their hands on them in this consumer country. The real problem is the weak minded clowns that now populate this country that decide to take out others because they are not embraced for their life decisions. It’s sad.

Tragedies don’t bother me though half as much as a bunch of schmucks sitting around behind a keyboard though posting shit about whose fault it is and making wild assumptions about the shooter and the reasons based on age/location.

How about this - someone’s kid isn’t coming home tonight. Someone who planned on going to visit their grandparents this Christmas won’t be. There are several families trying to make sense of a tragedy - including many who did NOTHING WRONG. But some keyboard warriors are sitting in a gambling forum giving their opinions based on nothing more than wild conjecture.

Like I said - I live with the knowledge tragedies happen and bad things occur to innocent people. I can live with that - it’s been this way since the beginning will continue until the end. But the fact some people feel the need to give their opinions despite knowing nothing about it is just beyond infuriating to me. Thankfully - none of those people got a call to come identify their child or notifying them that their kid was in an ER after a shooting - but if they did would their opinions have changed or would they still feel it appropriate to speculate online about what made a kid snap ?

It’s very disheartening to me to see stuff like this and I am just sitting here thinking of a couple of friends I’ve bought gear from up in Madison for a number of years. I know they are Christians and have mentioned playing in their church and leading their worship services.

In fact in the past they helped me out with one of my little holiday gifts in giving out a few guitars to kids in their church at Christmas and providing lessons. No idea if they had any connections to this tragedy in any way - obviously Madison is not a small town - but in many ways it is too. Just like the forum community can be tight and many shared bonds - so are others.

So I’m going to get off here and message my friends and pray everything is alright for them personally. Let’s try and be semi respectful here to some strangers who are dealing with something most of us fortunately will never have to deal with.
