And this is once again why you are the best writer on BMR, nobody comes close to you. Thank you for your amazing posts. No idea who’s behind the scenes at their operation these days - just know their history of shaking down books for $$ and using their arbitrary ratings system to extort cash from operators and using them to boost revenue.
Also not a fan of their mod Opti and the amount of shit talking done about several offshore books and labeling them as scams - without providing the slightest bit of evidence to support these claims.
It’s pretty simple - if you don’t wish to cover offshore or handle disputes - don’t have your employees discussing the topic. Likewise - if you hold a position that a reasonable person would infer that gives you some inside knowledge of a topic and want to express a personal opinion - be prepared to show the slightest bit of evidence to support that position.
I can come on here and say for example JJGold is a losing gambler and it’s an opinion. If a mod says it - that statement comes with an implied level of endorsement from BMR as that is their agent/employees representation made on their platform. Now it’s simple to show - just post the many picks JJ has shared and you can support the statement.
But when you continuously go around calling books a scam (despite posters offering positive feedback) and then accuse the posters supporting those books of being paid shills with zero evidence of either - you lose all credibility in my opinion. The fact they continue to call out Heritage for alleged wrongdoing just shows how credible they are. Granted there have been changes at Heritage - but show me a single no pay complaint leveled against them with any significant evidence. Smaller books are easier to take shots at as they don’t have the reputation Heritage has built or the customer base - but when your talking about one of the top 5 offshore operators today - better have something to back up your claims.

You see this?Again - just calling out the BS as I see it.
Could be 1000% correct in statements made - but it’s simple: provide evidence, create a ghost name and post it as a personal opinion or don’t say anything.
Way too many people took their ratings as a biblical guide in the early days of offshore and way too many people got led to the proverbial slaughter as a result. I don’t blame the people who worked there for doing what they were told and who to promote - but we are well past those days now.
Click some of those links, look at the relationship with Cheers Jon aka SSLP and the higher ups. Players lose while the good ole boys profitedAgain - just calling out the BS as I see it.

I feel the same way with commission payments. Me being a part-time travel agent I rather someone book their vacation through me. It doesn't cost you anything extra, you still get all the same benefits and sometimes I will even throw in extras to entice you to book with me. It's a win-win for everyone involvedI’ve never understood what the big deal is with any site having books as affiliates
#1 It’s irrelevant as a player - Your losses are gone either way it doesn’t matter who ends up with all or part of it
#2 I’d rather sign up at a sports book through a site/forum which is hosting them because I know if I have any problems I have a much better chance of getting it resolved than me attempting to do solo
I even resigned up with books (betonline recently) thru forums i frequent and opted to close the old account

Yes sir I understand that pointI have no issue IF the person selling the product discloses they are paid a fee/commision.
The difference is when the site is proclaiming themselves as an “unbiased” rating agency - while making very biased recommendations.
One is a salesperson selling me on something - there is an expected amount of “puffing” at play there. Buy XYZ - I trust the so much I use it myself and such.
There’s a big difference though in going to a rating agency and having them say “buy XYZ stock - it’s going to soar and you’ll be rich. I fact we are buying all we can ourselves” meanwhile XYZ pays the brokerage a handsome commission from all the money they raise selling shares before skipping town with investor cash.
You can be a salesperson or a consumer rating/protection agency - but never both.
$195.12 JD. It can be very lucrative but it is hard to obtain clients. With a small social media presence I mostly booked for friends and family along with myself. If I put more of an effort into it I could probably make more but honestly I'm happy with just booking a few vacations here and there along with my own personal travelHow much did you make as a travel agent this year Bobby it sounds very lucrative ?
