Against Golden State Warriors for tomorrow's game at The Alamodome stadium in San Antonio, Texas.

"On Friday, the Spurs, who usually play at the AT&T Center, will return to the Alamodome for the first time in 20 years."

Is there any of our BMR members who are going to watch this game in real time actions?
Having a game at the Alamodome is kind of a joke. When the Spurs played there in the 90s they blocked off large sections of the arena because it is just way too big for a basketball game. For this game they are opening up all seating to set a record for the Spurs' 50th year.

My daughter and son-in-law are going just so they have the tickets to say they attended the biggest attendance game in NBA history. I'm sure the seats will be horrible.

Its a gimmick. Spurs suck this year and they planned it for when GSW would be in town to help sell tickets.

I am still hoping your daughter and son-in-law will enjoy the game, Tank.

I'm kinda seeing the future for tomorrow then. The Spurs will lose the game but will win money from this marketing strategy haha

It’s a horrible arena to watch hoops. You seem very far away from court even in decent seats. Agree with everything Tank said. It was built to hopefully lure Saints or another NFL team and it’s an excellent football arena.

Traffic surrounding Alamodome 20 minutes to tip. Live shot it just looked about 10 percent filled. I’m sure a lot will get there late. 6:30 tip is strange

For an NBA game I'd rather be up close and personal rather than further away from the action
Me too Bob. When I used to go to the Spurs games when they were contending for a title every year with my ex we would go to 4-5 games a year and get the great seats, rather than two or three times that many and get the shit seats.

Same with the Longhorns football. I go once a year and get the very best seats in the house. Club seats. Full Top-notch buffet, full bar area. I’d much rather do this once or twice a season than maybe get season tickets in the nosebleeds

That definitely makes sense and it makes for much more enjoyable experience

I had to go to San Antonio last September for work. That whole downtown was being redeveloped and it seemed like every other street was either closed or being worked on. Are they finish yet?
