Not many guys that could do what he did still in the game. Equal part strategy of the game and manager of people. A lot of smart guys and a few who can keep egos in check while getting the best effort of out everyone - but the ones who can do both are few and far between.

Off top of my head - Francona is probably the best active manager at both.
