4th and 10.

Cards go for it Rams 40. 10-6 score Cards down. Three minutes left

Murray throws deep and Rams rookie DB intercepts the ball instead of batting it down.

Cost the Rams 30 yards field position.

Rams get the ball their own 10 instead of their own 40

Nothing pisses me off more watching a game than when players or coaches don’t know proper clock management or down and distance management or where the hell they are on the field

I would have batted that ball down in 8th grade football and here’s a pro totally fukking his team potentially

and just like that Rams have to punt from their own 17 up 4 with over 2 minutes left

The play described in first post totally flipped the field in Cardinals favor even though Rams DB selfishly got the pick

Yet we pay these low IQ individuals who are useless in any other way to the world more than we do our geniuses

One of America’s biggest flaws - prioritizing sports above everything else

He just wanted to have INT on his stat sheet, right?
It's the same thing as offensive player scoring a TD to put his team up 10 (99% win), when he should just sit down on the 1 yard line (100% win)

These types of players will never coach high school football, let alone pros
It’s not the same. In this particular instance, in a 4-point game late, he cost his team 30 yards of field position

Instead of Arizona driving from maybe the 10 and having to go 90 yards for the potential game-tying touchdown inside of two minutes, the Cardinals only had to drive from their 35.

The interception by the Rams DB flipped the field - In the Cardinals favor! If he’d have batted it down it would have changed the type of plays the Rams offense could have run from the 40 as well, instead of when they were pinned deep where the INT placed them
