“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” said Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis last night in an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League. I still stand by it. If our coaches and general manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms.”The Raiders have long been a franchise willing to buck the status quo. They have also been long committed to their current quarterback Derek Carr, who just signed a three-year, $121.5 contract extension that runs through 2025. The Raiders have potential backup candidates in Nick Mullens and Garrett Gilbert, each of whom has less experience than Kaepernick.

His dad always took in stray cats back in the day.
Davis had no problem bringing in players who had a checkered past. He had no problem bringing in guys who weren't exactly the men you would want your daughter to date.

Other teams were concerned with that and often let these guys go. If they could produce on the field, Davis couldn't care less about anything else.

In the Raiders' heyday, they would frequently come across teams that were uptight in big games. More often than not, the Raiders would handily beat those teams.

No three words better define Al Davis than, "Just Win, Baby."

I don't care for the guy but even not playing how many years he is still better than the 2 back-ups they have. Can also get him cheap and sell a shit ton of merch because many idolize him
It’s a good point. The backup Qb’s in the nfl are terrible. He has to be better than 90 percent of them. And you’re right. You’ll see Kap jerseys everywhere if he signs with Raiders.

I think its a trick

They play Kaepernick, then tell the OLine to intentionally blow their blocks & let him get blindsided & pummelled over & over 😄
I've seen this in a movie... The Longest Yard.

If he's picked up by Raiders it will be a circus around him at first. There will be more focus on Kaepernick than the perfroamcen of the team.
