Question for Remote Desktop Users

Anyone use remote desktop software?

I have "Anydesk" to access my home computer while I'm out on the road. I've had quite a few problems with it during this trip and I'm wondering if anyone else has used similar software. If so, what would you recommend?

But I'm curious what you can't access from your desktop that isn't synced to yourself?

Downloaded files and such?

I access many files via Onedrive & Icloud, but I have some that I do not put out on the web for storage (work security reason) so I started using remote desktop a couple years ago. Now whenever I'm away, I usually just log into my home PC remotely. Its just become habit.

There are times I'll login and its "glitchy". I'm not sure if its my remote connection, the connection back at the house, or the software that is causing the problem. It seems to be worse when connecting through a VPN.

Just wondering if anyone else used the remote desktop software and if there were any recommendations.

I ask our IT for the recommendations. He said that if you are a Windows user you can use this tool "Remote Desktop Connection", but if you are a macOS user then you can use the "Microsoft Remote Desktop". Hopefully it helps you.

You could also use Chrome Remote Desktop as well. I have heard good things about it but I have never personally used it
