I just got off the phone with him, he is in dire need of help. His back jack addiction is out of control. I have loaned him $200 every week for the last 3 months, he has always paid it back but he keeps losing and losing. He is a good man that deserves a good quality of life. He is a loving husband, a great poster, a great mod, a caring and warm father, he is our forum brother, a great humanitarian and a great lover. I hate to see him suffer the way he is. He really hasn't been betting much sports lately, all his free time is spent at the black jack table and he is not winning. I have cut him off from taking any more loans from me and I am offering to be his sponsor . We need our Bobby back, we need him concentrating on sports, work, being a great husband and father and a freak in between the sheets pleasing his other half . His gambling addiction has taken complete control of him, I ask us all to pray for Bobby,
Dear Lord, please turn my weakness into strength. Transform my suffering into compassion and turn my sorrow into lasting joy. Transform pain into comfort I can provide to others. Allow me to trust in your goodness and find hope in faithfulness, even in the midst of this struggle.
May many find You, the one source of freedom, forgiveness and comfort, for deliverance from their pain and desperation. In Your mercy. Amen.
You cannot serve both God and money” (Matt. 6:24). Because gambling can put a person into a position of being mastered by addiction and debts, this principle needs to be front and center for any Christian considering gambling. The Bible warns us against the compulsion to strike it rich.
