There's no way you can call yourself a title contender and lose to the Nats twice in a row at home, right?

Especially with Wheeler on the mound?

Am I missing something here?

fading them

heartless losers
They really do look heartless.

One more display like last night and the fans will go ape on them.

Their offense is the problem.

Castellanos has been awful. No heart.

Crazy to think that all they have to do is have the lead in the 8th because when that crazy closer comes in, it's lights out good night.

Yes, but to think the fukkin Nats can win two in a row in Philly with Wheeler on the mound is nuts, right?

Phillies MUST win tonight if they have ANY credibility as a title contender.

August baseball is tough - teams showing signs of fatigue and young guys playing for a spot on a roster next year.

If the past 2 weeks have taught us anything - it’s avoid the heavy chalk.

Look at Pirates today - started the morning as +190 dogs - by game time was like +155 I think.

You can actually see it in the "fatigue" trend in MLB on bbl scores for batters over the last 2 weeks.

BBLs/PA % were in the high 14s for the elite homerun hitters (Judge, Ohtani, Alonso). Now you only see one (Judge @13.8) above a 13.1.

Nice call

20 pitches an inning for Wheeler yet he only allows six base runners and Nats chase him after 5??

Nats really must have been stretching some at-bats but not having much luck getting on base

Thanks, pal.

I blame the asshole catcher, Realmuto, for that. He does it to all the pitchers.

If the pitcher goes up in the count 0-2 he will call for two outside the zone pitches just to see if he can fool the batter.

It never works. The end result is just what you said. 20+ pitch innings.

It's awful. He's awful.
